30 Hour Famine

Hey guys!

Hope you guys are enjoying your week nicely with all that cold weather and snow! Anyways just for updates this week, as you guys know it is around that time of year again and we will be doing the 30 hour famine (woo)! It’s such an awesome time where we can just be able to spend time with each other and as well to experience what it feels like not eating. But I hope you guys are excited just as I am, so here is the information:

Starting/Ending the Famine: At 1:00 pm on Friday (So I encourage you guys to eat before hand, breakfast and lunch)- Ending at 7:00pm on Saturday! (p.s. if you start late, you eat late )

Meeting: Church at 9:30 pm — After Awana (setting up and probably starting right at 10:00)

What you should bring:

Sleeping bag (including all that pillow stuff)
toothbrush (hygiene stuff)
Please shower before you come because we will be doing activities (it has been requested)
Dress warmly for the weekend because the activities will include going outside
Bring your bible
Please bring TWO DOLLARS ($2.00) — we will be chipping in for the food
Bus tickets (just in case if we don’t have enough rides)
Board games/ consoles for the night time and free time
And last but not least… bring FRIENDS! =)

So as you guys know, during our famine we are not allowed to eat food (duh!)
so here is a list of what you can drink and what you cannot drink, etc:

Cannot:

drinks with pulp
milk
pop
chew gum

Can:

All clear liquids (no alcohol – DUH!)
Juice (the church will be providing that)
Gatorade (If you guys need it, you guys can provide yourself with some of that)

So I believe this is all the information you really need to know, and I really encourage you guys to come and do the famine and bring your friends! Just a reminder that the sleepover at church on friday night is strictly only for those who are doing the famine. But for those who are not doing the famine, you can join us on Friday night with our activities and as well as on Saturday! Well I hope to see you all there! Dang… I did not know this was with Lighthouse as well.
